Seed remains committed to eradicating the
lead threat in Liberty City and Little
Haiti. An intense, multilingual, multi-

has started and an aggressive
screening program has been implemented
in
partnership with the Florida Department of
Health (DOH), Weed & Seed has been dedicated
to testing 500 children between the ages of
0-six years old for elevated blood lead
levels within the next year. More than 200
children have been tested in the past
months. Recent test sites have included

Mother’s Day Care, and Soul Saving Station.
Faith and community based organizations are
also being sought for future sites.
